Machine Operator - Chicago Glue & Machine

Job Description

Machine operator -  this job would consist of learning the “recipes” for each stick we manufacture, filling the tank, operating a forklift, packaging the product, and completing a report after all this is done to record how much product they used, how much time they spent, and that the sticks were quality checked. 

They would shadow our other machine operator to learn from him. They would start with learning how to turn the machine on and need to fill the tank and learn the packaging procedures. Once that knowledge is attained, they would then start to learn the intricacies of temperature controls and other procedures involved. We extrude hot glue and turn raw materials into sticks. Learning to drive a forklift and working on an elevated platform is something that they would also need to be comfortable with, of course over time and with the proper training.
